Book Your MIAM
Arrange Your Meeting With A MediatorBooking your MIAM is the first step towards resolving things calmly and reaching an agreement that works for your family. Call us on 0333 567 1676, or complete the form below, and one of our accredited family mediators will be in touch to arrange a convenient time. Appointments are held online and are usually available within a few days.
Your MIAM is a relaxed, confidential conversation, not a commitment. It is simply where you find out how mediation works and whether it is right for your situation, with no pressure to continue.
Help with the cost: the £500 voucher. Where your case involves arrangements for children, you may qualify for up to £500 towards your mediation sessions through the government’s Family Mediation Voucher Scheme, now extended to March 2027 and not means-tested. See our fees and how the voucher works.

Tell us a little about your situation and we will be in touch to arrange your MIAM at a time that suits you.
What to Expect
- A friendly first contact. One of our mediators will call or email to find a time that works around your life.
- Your MIAM. An unhurried, confidential conversation, held online, where you explore your options and any concerns.
- Deciding together. If mediation feels right, we invite the other person to their own MIAM and arrange your first joint session. If it is not the right path, we will point you towards what is.
How Much Is a MIAM?
We keep our fees clear and fair. Because we work online, we are able to offer competitive pricing without compromising on the quality of your mediation.
- Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm: £130
- Saturday, 9.00am to 1.00pm: £150
Outside these hours, please get in touch. We accept credit and debit card payments. You can see our full pricing, including mediation sessions and documents, on our fees page.
A Better Way Than Court
Mediation gives you and your family the space to make your own decisions, rather than having them imposed by a judge. It is usually faster, less expensive and far less stressful than contested proceedings, and where children are involved it helps preserve a working relationship for the years ahead. Since April 2024, the courts also expect couples to have genuinely considered mediation before applying, so a MIAM is both a practical first step and a requirement in most cases. You can read more about how the mediation process works.
Booking FAQs
What actually happens during my MIAM?
You will talk one to one with a mediator about your situation, in confidence. They will explain how mediation works, discuss whether it suits your circumstances, and answer your questions. There is no pressure and nothing to prepare, though it helps to have an outline of the issues you would like to resolve.
Will mediation work if things are difficult between us?
Often, yes. Mediation is designed for exactly these situations, and each of you attends your MIAM separately. If you would prefer, joint sessions can be arranged so that you do not have to be in the same virtual room. The mediator keeps things calm and focused on the way forward.
Can we sort out both children and finances?
Yes. Mediation can cover arrangements for children, property, finances, or all of these together. Your mediator will help you work through each issue and record what you agree.
Have a question first?
If you would like to talk something through before booking, we are always happy to help, with no obligation.
